About Us

Our name is MITSEI – a shortened acronym for Multiple Intelligences, Thinking Skills and Emotional Intelligence.


MITSEI seeks to bring activity-based engagement & learning experiences to k-12 school children. Our initial set of activities is based on our twelve-year experience helping school children at a tier-2 Indian town; we are seeking to build a community of like-minded individuals following this approach to learning.


  • Current prevalent learning relies on a teacher-led scholastic curriculum - with one size fits all approach, leading to poor engagement of learners. Augmenting learning with parent facilitated activities is an involved and exciting way leading to higher engagement, retention of concepts and skill development like visualization, logic, modelling, experimentation, storytelling and presentation (Multiple Intelligences) - that would accelerate self-learning.

  • The need for thinking skills is all the more relevant in today's world. The industry and employers look for skills around analysis, evaluation, creativity and problem solving – all that are missing today in a traditional learning setup. Our activities help augment learners with the development of thinking skills.

  • Emotional Intelligence is the third area of development we emphasize through our activities. Today’s children are taught scholastic skills, with life skills coming into prominence in a work setting. Building up one's character to develop habits, self-esteem & awareness and handling situations is something that is often left to individuals to fend for themselves – this is an area to actively engage children in their development years. Additionally, the missing element of bringing an emotional connection to one's locale & tradition is something we have included in our design of a holistic learning environment.

Look at our activity catalog for engaging learners across age groups - build multiple intelligences, thinking skills and emotional intelligence. With an initial seeded set of activities based on our own experiences, we intend to build a community around activity-based learning - consisting of authors, facilitators and learners.


Our founding team comes from a background of running a school for the past twelve years, where an activity-based learning methodology has been encouraged with good results in the learning outcomes. The seed content has been developed and continues to be evolved at our school – and this effort is to create a broader platform centered around activity-based learning.


Our Vision


Create a crowd sourced and crowd owned platform for authors to create activities & enable facilitators and learners to enrich their lives through activity-based learning experience.
