Changing weight (Play area activity)

This is an activity that can be conducted in a play area, where a see-saw is available. It can be done for 2 learners, multiple pairs or even some lighter children combined against a heavier child. The idea is that on a see saw, as the heavier child moves closer to the fulcrum, the balance will gradually equal and then start tilting in the other direction. This can activity can be done as an experiment so that measurements, data collection and analysis skills can also be improved. As is the case with all our activities, the learner engagement should direct the activity flow rather than the activity script.
