In this activity the learners will appreciate the meaning and need for LCM. They will first build a number line and play a game of Kangaroos, with each kangaroo being able to make a jump of a fixed length. All Kangaroos will start from the starting line at the same time. Each jump for each kangaroo will be marked. Since they have different jump sizes, they will all be out of sync to start with. After a while, the jump lines will start aligning. The earliest point where all kangaroos jump lines align will be LCM for the numbers that make up the jump sizes.
