Relay push (acceleration)

Acceleration is the rate of change of speed and is instantaneous at the point of motion. However average acceleration over a distance or time period can be measured. In this activity learners will create acceleration by forming a team of relay pushes who will accelerate the ball in a single direction by providing a push at specific intervals. The teams will measure acceleration by timing the ball at those points. Multiple teams can have a competition on who provides the most acceleration. Any ball that misses even one of the points in the course will be disqualified.
