Tug of war (Coefficient of friction)

In this activity learners will play a game of tug of war. The teams will need to be divided such that they are more less balanced. The teams then will be allowed to use material either on hands or feet to provide more friction for themselves and then see if that will help them perform better. They will then organize the different materials used by the amount of friction they provided and arrive at a coefficient of friction for different materials. Teams should be encouraged to be creative the way they use different kinds of friction producing materials.
